Minister Sally Ugo — a life of music, media, ministry and coaching
Minister Sally Ugo is a dynamic Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, screenwriter, actress and mindset & relationship coach from Kogi State (Igala-speaking). The youngest of six, Sally’s creative journey began in childhood — nurtured by the musical passion of her late parents, Alhaji Mahmud and Hajiya Rakiya Usman.
Sally’s media and acting foundation started at Taraba Television and later at Fidei Polytechnic (Gboko) where she studied Mass Communication. She launched her acting career in 2013 and wrote scripts for Nollywood producers while continuing to develop her music and grow a coaching practice focused on faith-based mindset work and healthy relationships.
In 2016 Sally released her debut single “Be Happy” (video shot in Accra) and received the Best Upcoming Gospel Singer award at the Zamar Awards the same year. She signed with Solomount Entertainment in 2018, released several singles while collaborating with producers like ProTJ, Uc Prof and Esic music, and then transitioned to focus fully on her music ministry in 2020.
Recent work includes the single “Emmanuel” (released July 2023) with more releases planned. Sally is married to Mr. Ugo Jonas and continues to minister through worship, coaching and storytelling — reaching the lost, guiding personal growth and inspiring transformation.

Sally started acting in 2013 and has worked across cities including Asaba and beyond. She writes scripts for Nollywood producers and has experience both on-screen and behind the scenes in storytelling and production.
Her background in Mass Communication and broadcast experience at Taraba Television inform her approach to performance and script development — blending faith-driven stories with strong production values.
Mindset & Relationship Coach
Sally offers faith-centred mindset coaching and relationship guidance rooted in scripture and practical life experience. Her coaching blends spiritual encouragement with actionable tools for emotional health, communication and healthy relationships.
Sessions and workshops focus on building resilient mindsets, navigating relationships with wisdom, restoring identity in Christ and equipping clients for sustainable personal growth. Sally works with individuals and small groups for one-on-one coaching, premarital preparation, relationship restoration and leadership mindset training.
